Synergistic Effect in Ionizing Radiation Shielding with Recent Tile Composites Blended with Marble Dust and BaO Micro/Nanoparticles

In this study, we investigated the impact of micro- and nano-sized barium oxide addition on radiation-shielding properties red clay tiles mixed with waste marble different sizes BaO (micro- or nanoparticles) for comparative analysis. The linear attenuation coefficients (LAC) prepared samples were measured using an HPGe detector between 0.060 1.333 MeV. Moreover, a comparison was made experimental micro-composites values obtained by Phy-X software. results revealed that clay/waste tile composites doped demonstrated superior compared to those micro-sized BaO. At 1.33 MeV, WR-20mBaO (containing 20 wt % BaO) WR-20nBaO exhibited HVL 4.75 cm 4.25 cm, respectively. lower value indicates performance, highlighting potential benefits as additive. Our findings also increasing amount deposited onto mixed-waste resulted in improved properties. study demonstrates adjusting concentration is viable strategy enhancing radiation tiles. addition, enhances its mechanical properties, it positively recycled community service.
